Mythology Definitions

Myth Definitions

A myth is a way of explaining thing that we have no answer for, and the cultural values of a society.

A hero is usually a child of gods who have a unique birth, have extraordinary strength for their adventures that are harsh and end in an unusual death.

The hero journey is the journey or quest assigned to them, battles, circular patterns, transformation the boon or change, gift to the community from the ultimate battle.

Universal is relating the myth or hero to people and applies to all, representative of everyone, global and the global.

The archetype is the structure and foundation of the original modal.

The cyclical continus pattern, repetitive, it then returns to the beginning.

Duality is the quality of opposites existing in a whole.

The creation of life from chaos, land from a watery abyss, an egg, life from the death of a god, the separating of land and sky witch creates earth.

Cosmology is the study of the world and the universe.

If a hero or god dies and there death gives back to the world and universe on the three levels of interaction is Life from Death.

Matriarchal is the foundation of female power.

Foundation of a male power is Patriarchal.

Tribute or Sacrifice to a god, giving something up for something for the benefit of others.
